A member of the community recently dropped by the Shed with a bench that had been in her family for many years. The bench had seen better days and asked if we could improve it's condition in any way.
The wood was actually beyond repair so was replaced. The cast iron frame cleaned and repainted, as was the animal insert in the back.
A delighted customer picked up the bench and it now sits proudly in her garden.
This month the shedders were treated to delicious home cooked food by a care worker student currently on placement with the Shed.
Katie Sykes delighted us with Mac n Chesse, garlic bread, homemade sausage rolls and old School sponge. Needless to say it was well received by the members with very little leftovers.
The Shed were commissioned to make BUg Hotels and Planters for a local charity MorphFit.
The Bug Hotels proved very popular and we have been commissioned to make more.
This month's Monthly Munch was home made soup and sandwiched.

The winning design featured a colourful front panel and once built by the Shed, now sits proudly in the School grounds.
The East Kilbride Shed were delighted to host Strathaven and Avondale Mens Shed (SAMS).
Members from both Shed's enjoyed a visit to the Jackton Distillery, home of the RAER Whisky, before a lunch in the East Kilbride Shed.
It was a pleasure to host you gentlemen, and you are welcome back anytime.
K-Woodlands asked us to create a sign for them that could be erected in the woods. The sign is to encourage children to paint a rock and add it to the rocks already in the woods to create a long and winding snake.
The concept behind the sign was to split it up into many small parts, represnting the stones the kids will add, but ultimately to create the sign in the shape of a snake.
Keep your eyes peeled for the sign when it is placed in K-Woodlands in the near future.
