It is with much sadness that the Shed announces the passing of a much respected member, Harry McLarnon, at the age of 92, seen here on the right. Harry had been a Member of our Shed for several years. As always, our thoughts are with Harry's family at this time.

The Shed were proud to have built this Lemonade stand which allowed two local girls to have a charity event, raising a massive £335 for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Well done girls.

Scottish Labour MSP, Monica Lennon, enjoys a visit to the East Kilbride men’s Shed, gaining a better understanding of the activities available to members and the work that we do in the community.
We had a great turnout of members to our "Fish Friday" night. The nautical fish theme was enhanced by the showing of an old BBC Scotland Para Handy episode. Our memories were taxed by two quizzes, starting and ending the night. Local takeaways provided the food, a pakora starter followed by fish‘n’chips. Many thanks to both local suppliers.
East Kilbride Men’s Shed supported the Open Day at Allers on Saturday 5th August with a display of crafts made at the Shed. It was well attended with lots of visitors who were able to see what we actually do at the Shed. In addition to the crafts, two of our artistic members were busy with requests to draw visitors’ caricatures. Altogether a great day and even the rain stayed off!
East Kilbride Men’s Shed volunteers recently made 6 large planters and assembled 2 small planters, to enhance the garden at Hunter House, East Kilbride.
